Hi, I’m James Wassinger — a cloud infrastructure engineer focused on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, automation, and modern platform operations.

Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked across enterprise IT, cloud engineering, and statewide government technology environments, helping design, support, and modernize large-scale infrastructure platforms.

My experience includes Azure infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments, governance, networking, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, endpoint management, and operational support for production cloud workloads.

Most recently, my work has focused on building and supporting scalable Azure environments using Terraform, improving operational consistency through automation, and supporting secure, reliable platform operations across production cloud environments.

I also have hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, networking, and operational maintenance.

Beyond the technical work itself, I enjoy documenting what I learn, sharing practical engineering knowledge, and helping make complex infrastructure concepts more approachable for others working in cloud and platform engineering.

This site is where I share projects, technical lessons, operational insights, and ongoing learning as I continue growing within cloud and platform engineering.
